Your Family Needs Smoke Alarm

According to the statistics of America National Fire Protection Association, in 1997, smoke alarms used in America have been more than twenty three million. 95% of residential buildings have been equipped with more than one smoke alarms, which means that the 15 houses in 16 are using them. The 80% accident death of fire occurred in the residential. The number of children under 14 who die in the fire can be nearly 800 people each year, an average of 17 per week. With the independent type smoke alarms in residential areas, the opportunity to escape can be increased by nearly 50%. And In the rest 6%, where there is no smoke alarms, the death number has accounted for half of all deaths.

Many data indicate that using household smoke alarm can quickly find the fire, reduce the personnel casualty rate and the fire loss, making the loss limited to the first burning material. The fire statistics also show that, the shorter the interval time of fire and the discovery of fire is, the lower the fire mortality will be. And in fact, the family which is under the protection of smoke alarm has lower mortality than those without this protection.
